Gillian ClarkeGillian Clarke, National Poet for Wales, playwright and broadcaster, will read from her latest collection of poetry, A Recipe for Water, in which she explores water as memory and meaning. Experience the musicality of Gillian Clarke’s poetry, and sense the spirit of her country and its ancestry through the natural world images she paints. She writes with power and tenderness – with a very individual voice. Friday afternoon 16th September – Poetry Recital, Exmouth College
As part of the Literary Festival’s objective to reach out to schools and colleges, Carol Ann Duffy, Poet Laureate and Gillian Clarke, National Poet for Wales, will also be giving a poetry recital and talk to a packed audience of students at Exmouth College.
This poetry and education event is taking place on Friday afternoon 16th September, and is a collaboration between the Festival, Exmouth College and Exeter University and forms part of the University’s wider educational initiative around promoting the Arts across Devon.
