#MyFirstRead Competition

What was your first read as a child?
To celebrate the wonderful world of books and our seventh annual literary festival, we are offering two of our social media followers the chance to win two free tickets to an event of their choice at the Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival 2015.

All you have to do is tweet and tell us about the first book you remember reading as a child, using the hashtag #myfirstread.

Alternatively, like our Facebook page and post your comment on there, using the hashtag #myfirstread .

Feel free to send pictures of your chosen book and we will share them on our pages.
Entry closes at 12pm on Wednesday 9th September 2015.

Terms and conditions and how to enter:

The organiser of this competition is Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival Ltd, registered charity no. 1127885.
The competition is open to residents of the UK aged 18 and over.
There is no entry fee and no purchase is required to enter this competition.
The competition will be run across both Twitter and Facebook.
Only one entry per person will be accepted.
Closing date for entries will be September 9th 2015
The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:
To enter the competition via Twitter, follow the Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival @BudLitFest and tell us about the first book you can remember reading plus the hashtag #MyFirstRead
To enter the competition via Facebook ‘like’ Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival on Facebook and share the page and reply to the post with the hashtag #MyFirstRead and tell us about the first book you remember reading.
Feel free to add photos to your entry. Any photos will be shared on the Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival social media pages.

The prize is as follows:
Winners of the competition will receive a pair of tickets to a Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival event of their choice – subject to availability of required tickets. If the winners first choice are not available, they will be offered another choice.
Two winners will be chosen, one from Twitter and one from Facebook. The festival committee team will pick their favourite entries by September 11th.
The winners will be notified by a direct message on the social media site on which they entered and their tickets will be then be available to collect on the door at their selected event.
